The feeling of helplessness is the worst of all. It leaves you wanting to do something, anything just to change the way things are. It doesnt matter if you end up getting hurt instead, but just knowing that you were in control and that u made a choice, albeit wrong, is much, much better than being having to suffer the agony of waiting for that inevitable moment of hurt to come. Right now, i'd give anything to be the one suffering it instead, if only because i've never thought you'd have to go through what i felt. And no one should.
